RBC blocks third-party personal AI agents from online banking

Royal Bank of Canada says outside personal AI agents can no longer access its authenticated digital properties, including online banking, and existing agent connections will stop working. Why it matters

Builders of agents that log into banks by screen-scraping or storing credentials face closing doors and should plan for official APIs or open-banking rails instead.
