Google and Stanford release Polar Peaks, a free AI-literacy quest where students map neurons

Google Research and the Stanford Accelerator for Learning released Polar Peaks, the third game in their AI Quests series for students aged 11 to 14. Players clean data, train and test a model and check its output while mapping brain cells, based on Google's connectomics research. A teacher module follows in November; Google counts 400,000+ completed quests in 10 languages.

Why it matters

A free, no-login classroom resource that teaches data cleaning, model testing and why AI output needs human checking.
