Agentic AI Foundation takes in Agent Skills, Open Responses, OpenEnv and OpenSandbox
The Linux Foundation's Agentic AI Foundation accepted four donated projects at AGNTCon + MCPCon: Anthropic's Agent Skills format, OpenAI's Open Responses API spec, Hugging Face's OpenEnv for RL environments and Alibaba's OpenSandbox runtime. They sit alongside MCP, A2A and AGENTS.md, taking the foundation to ten projects.
Why it matters
Skill packaging and a Responses-style API now have neutral governance, which makes agent setups easier to move between vendors.
